By using the Catppuccin API ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of these terms, then you may not access the Service.
Description of Service
The Catppuccin API is a free, unofficial REST API that provides access to publicly available Catppuccin theme data, including:
- Ports and userstyles
- Color palettes
- Categories and collaborators
- Project showcases
This service is not affiliated with or endorsed by the official Catppuccin organization.
Acceptable Use
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree NOT to:
- Make excessive requests that could impact service availability for others
- Attempt to bypass rate limiting mechanisms
- Use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its infrastructure
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
- Use automated tools to scrape or harvest data excessively
Rate Limiting
The Service implements rate limiting to ensure fair usage and service stability. Current limits are:
- 100,000 requests per hour per IP address
- Higher limits for localhost/development use
These limits may be adjusted without notice. Repeated violations may result in temporary or permanent access restrictions.
Service Availability
We strive to maintain high availability but make no guarantees about uptime or performance. The Service is provided "as is" and may be interrupted for maintenance, updates, or other reasons.
No Warranty
The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without any warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that:
- The Service will be uninterrupted or error-free
- The data provided will be accurate or up-to-date
- The Service will meet your specific requirements
Limitation of Liability
In no event shall the operators of this Service be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of the Service.
Data Sources
The Service fetches data from publicly available GitHub repositories. We are not responsible for the accuracy, completeness, or availability of this third-party data.
Termination
We may terminate or suspend your access immediately, without prior notice, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach the Terms.
Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will update the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes acceptance of those changes.
